Probably from the 1960s, this little German made melodeon is not in great cosmetic condition with the usual signs of use for a box this age. There is significant wear on the gold paint decoration and on the bellows tapes. There is typical green corrosion on the bellows corners in common with accordions this age. See photos for a better look at overall condition as they form an essential part of the description.
It has been newly tuned and serviced with the bellows airtight and good compression. it is in full working order so a cheap melodion for anyone wanting to play in the old traditional Irish sound for Sean-no’s (old style) without spending a lot.
Made by top German manufacturer Hohner, it has a light fast action, 4 sets of reeds with LMMH configuration and is tuned in key of G. It has the original good quality Hohner reeds from this period.
It is completely original so does not have shoulder strap brackets but if you need to play with a shoulder strap, I will fit a set of brackets and supply a single shoulder strap.
These were supplied in a cardboard box so there is no case but a small-rucksack or carry-on luggage bag will fit it.
