BARNES & MULLINS Irish Tuning BANJO UKULELE Banjolele
Around 1/2 the size of a standard banjo, it is perfect for young children under 11 years or as a travel banjo. This little UBJ1 banjolele is scaled and strung to E A D G, same tuning as an Irish tenor banjo, fiddle or mandolin. I have removed the nylon Uke tuning strings and fitted thicker gauge steel strings at a slacker tension so the pressure needed to push the strings down is much less than on a 17 fret banjo. Less sore on little fingers.
