The Marion is an upgrade from the popular entry level concertinas and plays smoother and with a quieter action due to the riveted lever action, red felt bushings and the smooth dome topped 6mm Delrin buttons. The musician can now tackle ornamentation and the fastest passages with ease.
Button layout is wheatstone/Lachenal so beginners can easily progress to this concertina with our relearning the fingerings.
Finished in a Solid Catalpa wooden ends for a nice mellow tone and fitted with nice comfy leather straps with brass screw mounted adjustment.
With the reeds mounted onto the reed pan like the vintage English made concertinas, the Marion sounds and feels more like a traditional concertina.
The bellows have leather cornered and finished 7 Folds for easier playing and the response from the Czech reeds make it a very pleasing instrument to play.
